Both my husband and I upgraded to the LG G8. He doesn't seem to have this issue but I do. I don't know if it is a software glitch or a hardware issue.
What the issue is I will be scrolling through an app or reading something and the screen will go black like the phone went to sleep. It isn't timing out to lock. I have it set to 1 min. Sometimes the status bar will only show, sometimes just the home buttons. Sometimes they are dim. It's never the whole screen. Sometimes it just flickers other times it stays dark until I touch the screen It wakes when I touch the screen. Sometimes it happens frequently and other times it goes a few hours before it happens again.
I am coming from an LG G6 Oreo so I don't know if this is a bug in Pie. I have had the phone for a little over a week. Should I return it, factory reset it or something else?
