Camera question

When using the front facing cameras, a control bar appears that you can move left or right(up or down in landscape) and a number changes either up or down. What is this for? I've moved it, but nothing happens. On this screenshot, it appears on the right hand side.

Can't remember what LG calls it but it's a sharpness adjustment for selfies. The higher the number the least amount of sharpness.

It's the "beauty effect"
Turn it up and it removes blemishes and other "imperfections" on faces real time. Turn it all the way down and it does nothing.
Finding a middle ground is best where you're not as ugly and not photoshoped looking . (not saying you're ugly, btw lol.)
