Why does google play store keep stopping?

Hello y'all. So I have the LG v10 from verizon. I got the marshmallow update a couple months ago and ever since then i havent been able to make purchases from pkay store. Every time i try i get a pop-up that says google play store has stopped. I can download free apps and update apps, just not purchase apps or make in-app purchases.

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen on both wi-fi and mobile data?


Try going to Settings>Apps>All, select Google Play Store, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Do the same for Download Manager. Now try again.


If that doesn't work, try going to Settings>Accounts-Google, select your Google account, and remove it completely from the phone. Then add it back again, and see if that helps.

Also, make sure that you have a valid form of payment associated with the account.
