Are the optional Home Touch buttons (e.g. screen capture and menu button) new to Nougat, or is this an LG feature?

They have been around on LG a while. My G4 had it even on Lollipop.

Part of the LG UX. I remember it being on the LG G2.


(Damn LG's UX has changed quite a bit lol)

Being able to add the button that pulls down the notification shade is one of my favorite LG features.

My goodness yes! It's the best for making one handed use possible on a phone this size.

I use Nova Launcher for quick swipe notification pulldown

Except that doesn't work outside of your launcher. I keep the notification key on my nav bar and save that down swipe gesture for something else (Google search).

This, only I use the swipe up/down gesture to show my app drawer. The joys of customizing that is android.
