I understand that the phone has a proximity sensor to prevent accidental touching during a call, although I can't find it to turn it off, but it does the same thing when I'm on speaker or headset or using the phone in my car with bluetooth. It's super annoying in the car, because it's much harder to turn the phone back on after the call completes. Please let me know if there's a way to correct this. I'm using the default phone app, and it does not have an advanced setting for turning this off, at least that I can fiind.
