Use $150 Credit for Watch Active 2

Correct. (Also, I applied the $150 code when I payed for it, and the system showed that the code was applied to the free gift. The seemed to apply the $150 credit after it shipped in the spirit of "it should have been applied to the watch, not the free gift.)

Any app that gives total vertical ascent and descent (in real time)?

Last time I checked out that app, it simply gave current altitude or current barometer measurement with a graph--it didn't calculate the change in altitude since the start of an event.

Use $150 Credit for Watch Active 2

I really wish I could help but don't remember saying anything special--first I ordered the watch while applying the code, then I just called the number I got from the Samsung Store website and said my coupon didn't apply to the watch and the representative talked to someone and said they'd be...

Any app that gives total vertical ascent and descent (in real time)?

I'm surprised I can't seem to find any app that gives change in vertical feet (useful for various sports, especially skiing). The "Hiking" workout mode tells you these stats at the end of your workout, but you can't display them during the workout. Is there anything I've missed out there that...

Best Mapping Apps for Local Parks?

I'm impressed with the ability to display maps on the Active 2 from a few sources (Here, Locus, etc.). Unfortunately, the only one I can find that allows you to download maps to the watch itself is "Here WeGo", which turns out to be the worst one for maps of local trails in state and local...

Any way to get summary workout data?

I'm not sure what you mean by "export data manually"? I don't see that option in Samsung Health

Any way to get summary workout data?

The workout tracking in the Active 2 is superb. Only problem is that, while you can view details for each workout in Samsung Health, there doesn't seem to be a way to get any summary data (e.g., time or # of workouts per week). Is there any easy workaround for exporting the data to some...

Is Android Wear 2,0 Making You Wonder...?

In what sort of situations and for what sort of tasks would you want to be able to use Google Voice (or improved S Voice) on your watch?

Will "Voice Recorder" App Work through Bluetooth?

Just wondering if anyone has found a way to record a voice memo using the microphone on a connect bluetooth headset? Thx. J

GearTasks - where to download? or something else that syncs with google tasks?

I've also been desperate for this functionality. The best I can suggest is to encourage the developer of the great Android app "Outliner" (which syncs with google tasks), to develop a simple S2 app that at least gives a static view of Google Tasks list (how hard could it be to develop that?)

Android App "Outliner" now supports Google Tasks

"Outliner" is a great app for managing different lists and it now can sync with Google Tasks. The developer is very responsive and friendly and he said if there was interest, he'd consider supporting S2. So just encouraging any users of the app to let the developer know that this would be a...

    Cool Feature on WSJ App

Wall Street Journal articles will "stream" on your watch, meaning one word pops up at a time at a fairly good clip. This evidently came from speed reading training--it's been available on "Instapaper" on Android and it's a pretty interesting way to read. Makes a lot of sense as a quick way...

What success rate have people had with loyalty cards on watch (e.g., "Fidme")?

Just to follow-up, I"ve had 100% success with this app (grocery stores, various libraries). It's actually turned out to be the most useful "external" app so far available...

Mark Gmail as "Read" after viewing notification?

I'm surprised this isn't the default behavior and more surprisingly there's no menu option "Mark as Read" for a gmail notification (all's you can do is "Archive"). Could someone suggest a workaround? Thx. J
