It's been an issue even before the upgrade to KitKat.... Mine was working without issue and then bam...no access. Almost as if Google applied a security and/or permissions change on the Google Play Store server....

I'm with you on that one... I finally did go back to iOS...and have been very, very satisfied ever since. The only thing I'm missing about my Note 3 is the larger screen size but...hey...Apple should be taking care of that later in the year. My GPS hasn't dropped once on my iPhone....even...

I was using the TomTom software on my Note 3....dropped from day 1 as well. Am in agreement with the others.....any time the phone dropped from LTE to 4G, and vice-versa, the GPS signal would drop and never come back. I had to manually turn the GPS off, and then back on again in order for it...

Guess I'll just have to stick it out and see what Apple's 5.7 inch iPhone 6 is going to look like....if I can still see after all my squinting looking at the 5S :-)

I *did* give up...finally. Have gone back to using an iPhone 5S....gave up the nice big screen of the GN 3 for the signal dependency of the iPhone. Have been using the GPS on the iPhone now for three days without a single drop. And yes...I'm still on AT&T's network. Sorry Samsung...better...

I, too, made and 80 mile trip this past weekend and had the same thing happen to me. Was using my navigation software and noted that the GPS dropped EVERY time the signal went from 4G to LTE, or vice versa. It was maddening.... Am going to an iPhone 5s instead....at least Apple's...

Makes no difference whether on wifi or over the cell network......either way the error occurs.

Have got an AT&T GN3 and the video option isn't there. Must be a feature option based on the carrier and/or International version(?)

Mine is on AT&T as well…. Very odd….some days there's no issue….other days it'll drop 4 or 5 times within just a few minutes…..

What's going on with the GN3 frequently dropping the GPS satellite connection? Been happening from day 1, and it doesn't matter what navigation app is being used. The only way right now to fix the issue is to toggle the GPS option off and then on again each time to re-establish the connection...
