Well, I've given HTC a call and they've said it'd have to go in for repair, but to check with the carphone warehouse (where I got it from) to see if they do in-house repair or replacement phones. So will be doing that tomorrow. Thanks for your help anyway.

Ok, I've tried that and then done another factory reset - still nothing, the notifications bar will not slide down. Any other suggestions?

Right - over the past couple of days I've found the notification bar to not work - any push notifications (e.g. texts, e-mails...) show up, but I can't swipe down in order to open up the panel and see them in more detail, if it responds it opens up the clock. Only thing I can think of would be...
