Use your custom recovery to format (not wipe) your partitions, then reinstall the official factory image. Probably want a backup first and drop it off onto your computer.

I'm very intrigued by this one but IMO it is not worth the plunge without heavy interest from developers. I don't think it will get updates from asus and it would be nice to have a good working custom recovery like twrp/clockwork.

Google doesn't sell the nexus 7 any more so they have no influence in the price. These are strictly in secondary market where competition is fierce. There will be deals but they may not be from the more popular retailers.

Re: Nexus 4 doesn't show up in my computer as storage device Are you using the nexus 4 cable that came with your phone, or some other micro-usb cable? On my N7 I have found that not all micro-usb to usb cables are created equally. All will charge, but not all will allow data view/transfer...

Is anyone aware of a good fully integrated black background with white text launcher/theme? I'm looking for something similar to using high contrast mode in Windows 7 / Windows Phone 8 as I have an eyesight condition that makes it much easier to read white on black than vice versa. Thanks -
