Settings, general management, language and input, on screen keyboard, Samsung keyboard, languages and types, manage input languages, then download the language you want. SwiftKey and gboard not an option for some.

Agree, I much prefer gboard but third party keyboards aren't an option for me on this phone as per my original post.
