I don't think this is the case as the phone is owned by a family member who is not tech savy and has very minimal apps on there. I've need to educate myself on how to reinstall Oreo as I'm losing patience waiting for an update hoping that it'll fix. This use to be my phone I own the OP6 now...

I did a factory reset but couldn't get it back to pie. Not sure why but when i did a factory reset it only went back to android 9.0 if anyone could point me in the best direction to be able to install android 8 oreo that would be good.

Ever since updating to android pie say after 9.0.2 my oneplus 5 has been lagging and freezing a lot. up to even 10 times a day. i really hope with the next software update this is something that is addressed. is anyone else having the same issue or have had it resolved?
