Oneplus 5 lagging on pie

Ever since updating to android pie say after 9.0.2 my oneplus 5 has been lagging and freezing a lot. up to even 10 times a day.

i really hope with the next software update this is something that is addressed.

is anyone else having the same issue or have had it resolved?

Works amazing on my 5T! Battery life is the best I've seen sometimes lasting over 3 days on a charge...Sorry to hear about the lag..I wonder if its tied to apps on your phone that may not be updated?

Thanks for affirming my decision to refuse the update!

You could try a factory reset... Though obviously that's not ideal. If you haven't already you should at least try clearing your cache from the recovery.

I did a factory reset but couldn't get it back to pie.

Not sure why but when i did a factory reset it only went back to android 9.0

if anyone could point me in the best direction to be able to install android 8 oreo that would be good.

I don't think this is the case as the phone is owned by a family member who is not tech savy and has very minimal apps on there.

I've need to educate myself on how to reinstall Oreo as I'm losing patience waiting for an update hoping that it'll fix.

This use to be my phone I own the OP6 now and very happy with it so it's a little disappointing to see this happen. I have been a huge fan of OP since I got the 5.
