    Samsung Galaxy Tab A Update

Okay, so some time ago, I got a Galaxy S7 Edge phone on the UK's TescoMobile which is an VMNO for O2. It was great, I could connect it via wifi to my Panasonic Lumix G85 camera and it would act as a much larger viewfinder. Then O2 pushed out a new Android version to my S7, and from then on...

Impact Protection? Phone would only turn on after being plugged into PC USB?

I was out cycling today, when I hit a pothole. The front wheel locked up, and I slammed into the handlebars. My S6 was in the breast pocket and took the brunt of the force. Got home, removed it from its Otterbox, screen looked shattered, but, it turned out to just be the glass screen protector...

    OTG cable for Samsung S6

I recently bought a USB OTG cable from a mobile phone store in the local mall. At first I thought it was faulty, my phone refused to detect any device plugged into it, and its doubtful it detected the cable at all. I tried it on my mates Nexus, and it worked perfectly, it also works flawlessly...

    Interesting message from SmartSwitch

Plugged my S6 SM-G920F into the PC, opened SmartSwitch. Went to "More" and selected "Initialization" and got the message "Your device SM-G920F no longer supports initialization. Contact a Samsung Service Centre in the case of problems." This has only started doing this since I upgraded to...

READ: Samsung Galaxy S6 Gets Mystery Software Update After Android 5.1.1 Lollipop: What Could It Be?

Its probably the stagefright patch as mentioned already. Most annoyingly my carrier confirmed they have received the patch from Google, but are still "assessing" it, and have no plans to push it out in the near future.

My samsung galaxy s6 SM-G920F did not get the 5.1.1 update, why?

I contacted my carrier with the same question. They told me its being rolled out in stages, and that I would eventually get it, they just couldn't say when. I got it two weeks after asking about it.

Anyone in the UK got 5.1.1?

TescoMobile (Using O2's network), 5.1.1 got rolled out this evening around 5pm for me. Can't say I notice a lot of difference from 5.0.2.

How do I customize the lockscreen with the Fingerprint unlock?

Re: Customizable Lockscreen with Fingerprint Unlock It's my understanding that ANY customisation to the lockscreen, unless approved by Samsung, disables the fingerprint scanner.

TorchLight Enabler app NO root required

Ahh, the old "torch" / "flashlight" argument. In the UK (and also a large chunk of europe), its "torch". In the Americas (USA, Canada, etc) its "flashlight". Both are right, and both are wrong. The "torch" isn't on fire, and the "flashlight" doesn't flash. The whole torch/flashlight thing is...

    lollipop 5.1.1

Still 5.0.2 on TescoMobile, which is a VMNO using O2's network. Which is quite annoying as its absolutely stock, with nothing carrier specific.

Encrypting Samsung S6 - Good and Bad. How can I fix a loop I'm stuck in?

Re: Encrypting Samsung S6 - Good and Bad As to the other question, which I missed, I only have to unlock it with the password at boot or reboot time.

Encrypting Samsung S6 - Good and Bad. How can I fix a loop I'm stuck in?

Re: Encrypting Samsung S6 - Good and Bad I have encryption on mine, and aside from it talking a little longer to boot up or reboot, I've not noticed any degredation of speed on mine. However someone told me its not whole device encryption, its only an encryption of the user partitions, and that...

Will the Samsung Galaxy S6's lag PERMANENTLY if i use the Google or Nova launcher

Re: Will the Samsung Gaaxy S6's lag PERMANENTLY if i use the Google or Nova launcher I use Nova Launcher, and love it. I find it 10x better than the default Touchwiz, and have not noticed any lag at all.

Does Swifkey slow down your S6 ?

Re: Dow swifkey slow down your s6? Its my understanding that the 'Samsung Keyboard' that is installed as default, IS a Samsung licensed version of Swiftkey anyway, so I very much doubt it.
