I did the same thing when I got my note 5. I finished paying off my note 3 and just kept it for a universal remote. I miss that feature. What the hell was samsung thinking. Now I have my note 7, 5, 3 and 2 (nope gave that one to my daughter) and only one is a remote.

I've had my note 2 for a year now and I still love it as much if not more then the first day I bought it. It's been my most favorite phone. I came from the samsung galaxy S series and I love Samsung phones, but I believe I'll be staying with the note series from now on.
