mikeinstlouis - I know the stock Mail client only allows to select each mail independently for marking as read. I recommend to try the "Type" mail app. This app allows to multi-select option to select all emails and mark all read at one time.

hey crazyralph90 I know mine does not have this issue or it is so faint it is not noticeable. when you look at the breakdown on ifixit you can clearly see that where you are pointing to there is only plastic molding. though to me it appears to simply cosmetic only.
