Difference between Mobile processors and Desktop processors

I've been curious if there is any difference between the two; mobile processors that go in cell phones and netbooks, and the 'regular' processors that are made for laptops and desktop computers. Somewhere I remember someone saying that there is a difference between a 1GHz mobile processor and a...

    Brand New Down-Graded EVO Screen

I do understand where you're coming from on just wanting to 'share your information' with everyone in this forum. But come on, you're not just 'sharing your information', you're shouting out to everyone about how you got jipped by HTC. If I read this article correctly, they weren't swapping the...

    Brand New Down-Graded EVO Screen

I've had a 002 and currently have the Epson 003. I can tell you personally, that yeah, there is a difference in brightness. But you know what? I never have the brightness turned all the way up. So what difference would it make it me that the Epson may be a few shades darker at its brightest...

    Screen fizzled out....

Yeah, that's what I thought after talking with the two closest Sprint stores to me. Only way I can get one from a Sprint store is to return mine at Best Buy and then use that money to purchase one at a Sprint store, but to me, that's too much time and money spent. It's just easier to exchange...

    Screen fizzled out....

Regarding Best Buy I work at Home Depot and we have a Best Buy right next door to us; just happens to be the one I initially bought my Evo from on launch day. I went in and explained to the two Mobile reps my situation. They pondered for a little while and decided that the best alternative was...

    Screen fizzled out....

Yeah, initially when it started to flicker, I could shake it and it would come back on. But almost 20 minutes later it just wouldn't come back on. So I'm betting that the LED's in the screen shorted out due to the moisture and heat.

    Screen fizzled out....

...from my sweat apparently. Yesterday afternoon, my car overheated and I barely managed to coast it into a parking spot near my apartment complex before coming to a complete stop due to the engine locking up. I immediately got out of my car and popped the hood to check a few things, and call my...

Hardware Versions: 0002 or 0003? Also, HTC called me back about the screen issue..

0002 - slight light leakage, horrible wifi reception(have to set phone physically on top of router to reach 3 bars), screen grounding problem, and glass on the bottom is slightly higher than that on top. And could everyone who replies state if you have Wi-Fi reception problems or not. I would...

My class 4 micro sd card scored higher than a class 10?

    I did 3 different tests on my 16GB class 6 card. 1st: Class 4 5mb/s write, 11mb/s read. 2nd: Class 6 6mb/s write, 13 mb/s read. 3rd: Same as 2nd test. So I'd say it was pretty right.

Evo capping all graphics to 30FPS:The reason why graphics performance sucks right now

lol Didn't mean to sound like an a$$, it's just that we have quite a few people who tend to use their sarcasm a bit much.

Evo capping all graphics to 30FPS:The reason why graphics performance sucks right now

And might I point out the article posted on the Android Central blog about this fps lock issue. It seems to 'maybe' be a related issue to Eclair/Android 2.1, since the Moto Droid had the same 30 fps problem on it when recieving the Eclair update; to a fraction of the people recieving the update.

    Bad Wi-Fi Range

It does in fact respond to a magnet like metal, but the attraction isn't very strong at all, so it could just be platted, instead of solid metal.

    Bad Wi-Fi Range

I just got off of the phone with htc Tech Support and was told that they are fully aware of the problem and are working on a solution. I was also told that they believe it's a software problem and sometime soon people will be receiving a software update over the air. I then asked for a potential...
