This happens to me pretty often as well. I don't know if it's my hardware or something else. The way I fix it is by hard-power off and then power-on. Happens at least once a week.

I'd say you got a good deal. I got mine off Ebay about a year ago, and the cheapest I could find was $280.

I got a used one off Ebay last year. It still runs pretty fast. Unfortunately I dropped it on the floor one day, which cracked the glass :(

I'd recommend Unity for games and Java for apps
