    LG G6 worth a buy?

I now wish I would have stuck it out with my LG G6 instead of defecting to the Pixel 2. Other than the camera I'm not all that impressed anymore. :( I miss the size and feel of the G6. That LCD was very nice. I would say at this point the G6 is still a solid phone, but we are approaching...

Pixel 2/2 XL - December Update (OTA) 12/5

Re: Pixel 2/2 XL - December Update 12/5 What is the delay, if any, on Verizon branded devices getting the update?

    Battery Life Thread

Overall I would say I'm getting great battery life considering how I use the device. I can go a day and a half without the need to recharge.

    Carrier or Outright from Google?

Finances aside, I think it's kind of pointless to get anything other than a Google device (Pixel, Nexus) unlocked / factory direct. I only see two advantages to buying direct: No carrier bloatware Timely updates For bloatware, you can disable most if not all of it. Out of sight, out of...

    Pixel 2 Random Restarts

My Pixel went to a black screen and I had to force a reset on it to get it working again. I wasn't sure if an application caused this or if there was a hardware issue. It only happened once, so I'm not too worried. On the other hand, a G6 that I had prior to this didn't exhibit the same...

    Carrier or Outright from Google?

I went with the Pixel 2 through Verizon. I don't mind that it is the Verizon "branded" model. I would do this again in a heartbeat because I don't always have $700 laying around to be spent. I can easily save up enough money to buy out my contract and upgrade earlier if I wanted to.

Buyer's remorse and the LG G6...LG G6 Edition

I find myself missing the screen real estate of the G6, but I honestly could not pass up the Pixel 2. I did consider the XL but I couldn't justify the higher price tag and possible screen issues.

Buyer's remorse and the LG G6

Yes I got the 5" model instead of the XL. I am fascinated with the larger screen phones but I am more prone to dropping them than I am with the smaller models. Right now I love the sheer speed of the device. It's a joy to use and I've already loaded up my phone with the apps that I had on my...

Buyer's remorse and the LG G6

As an update, I exchanged my LG G6 last night for a Google Pixel 2. This is truly an impressive device.

a tale of two "always on" screens

The sensors are just to the left of the earpiece. Place your finger on them and the AOD should shut off after that. Anything that covers them will most likely deactivate AOD as the previous poster stated. I am not sure about magnetic triggers enabling the AOD, however.

Buyer's remorse and the LG G6

Nope, the V30 was not on my short list of devices. I'm looking for a two-year phone (possibly three) and believe that I want something with stronger software support like a Google Pixel or even an iPhone - yes, I said iPhone. Pixel is about as close as one can get to a software / hardware...

Buyer's remorse and the LG G6

After I have a heated argument discussion with my wife about exchanging a phone again so quickly after purchasing I am likely going to go with a Pixel 2. In terms of product support and updates, the Pixel 2 has a decidedly large advantage here. In terms of depreciation, the Pixel 2 will be...

Buyer's remorse and the LG G6

Mobile photography is important to me because I enjoy taking pictures. Whatever phone I am using better have a good camera, if not best in class. This is why in the past I have owned devices like the iPhone 7 Plus and Lumia 1020. I do have concerns that the camera on my G6 may not perform...
