I got my LG G6 today and was so looking forward to it yet the picture quality is ridiculous ... I was convinced there was plastic over the lens or something as it's so badly grainy ... is this normal???

This is my last photo with G6....

The LG G6 camera doesn't always perform as I wish it would... It can't really zoom, but I still can take great photos if I do not zoom in, also check in your camera settings if the resolution is low and check the image size. Be sure not to set it to 18:9 because it is especially grainy...

Here are my settings it's so frustrating as I love the phone ... but just can't cope with the bad quality pics they are all coming out grainy even without zoom ...

I too recommend tinkering with the photo and camera settings. Try auto-focusing the camera before taking pictures, as well. Sometimes the odd photo will come out bad here and there, with any phone you get. I'm sure there are tips and tricks on YouTube, as well! :)

Looks like low light/ wrong type of light didn't help here, take HDR off in low light, tap to focus area that you need and shoot. Download the pixel camera that can be used along side the stock one, it's super in low light of a little slow to process.. I've had some of the best pictures with this phone, very little on the market today would persuade me to switch!

Are you using the camera as it cames? Mine was ajusted to the lowest quality.. I just change the settings now works pretty dope!

I took lots of pictures with my G6 over the summer and they all look great. I used HDR on, off, and on auto. Outdoor shots were the best.

Go to your camera settings. the default quality is low. click and change it to 13mp 4:3 settings
