Pop up on almost every website I visit saying I have a damaging virus?

Re: pop up on almost every website i visit saying i have a damaging virus Isn't Google supposedly fixing these redirects with a new version of Chrome? I get the same annoying fake message on this site too. It's very annoying.

Please stop the HTC 10 hype reviews

I've never seen touchscreen calibration on any phone with a capacitive touchscreen, only on old resistive touchscreens from back in the Windows Mobile days.

Is tidal the best music streaming service?

Having albums and artists exclusive to any streaming service is stupid and is ruining music. I'm glad the stuff I listen to doesn't pull that kind of crap.

I got my phones back fixed. will it still be able to handle water ?

^^ Agreed with that dude. I used to do phone professional phone repair for a living, arguably the best technician in town, but I would still tell people there is no guarantee that their phone would be water-resistant after replacing any parts, even on something like a Casio GzOne Commando that...

    New front page redesign feedback!

This is what it looks like on a 1600x900 display - full screen, no zoom. It's starting to look like a placeholder site, or one that appears when you mistype a URL and it's trying to trick into thinking it's what you're looking for.

    New front page redesign feedback!

Seriously the new change is even worse. Now there are page-wide "banners" after some scrolling, giant forum post links...it's so terrible. The site looked great about 2 months ago, it's been getting worse with every iteration. Just change it back to how it was around June - smaller versions of...

    New front page redesign feedback!

It's awful. It was fine the way it was before it was changed. Please change it back, it feels less welcoming now, you can barely see any stories on the front page.

    What happened to the site?

Is there something wrong with the formatting right now...or is this a new look, because it's terrible.

    3 Quick Questions

You can't move apps to a USB drive (yet), but you *can* move your apps to an SD card, and you can install all apps to an SD card by default as well.

    expand storage

No hacking required, the Shield TV has native USB HDD support. I have a 2TB Western Digital drive attached to mine. 100% stock 1.1 update. Very nice.

    3 Quick Questions

    1) No idea, sorry I don't have a 3D TV to test. 2) Yes. I have a 2TB hard drive attached to mine right now, works 100% right out of the box (with 1.1 update) 3) You can only *directly* download apps from the Android TV version of Google Play, but you can send just about any device to the Nvidia...

so what happens next year when the x1 is obsolete

Why is the 500GB edition the only option? It has two USB 3.0 ports that support NTFS drives (and yes, you can install apps straight to external drives)...I have a 2TB attached to mine right now. 500GB edition is nice if you don't want to look at another drive (mine is under the entertainment...

SHIELD Android TV very initial impressions

Netflix has 5.1 sound on the Shield TV as long as your receiver supports EAC3 audio (most do) and your TV supports EAC3 passthrough (most do not), or you can go directly to the receiver.

Ok who besides me ordered already?

Ordered one (16GB) on the 3rd and got it Friday. It does exactly what is says it does. Considered the 500GB version, but $100 for 500GB is way too much, and it's not enough storage for movies anyway. The USB 3.0 ports and plug and play with NTFS drives so you're much better off with the 16GB...

    Accidental ADB Issue

As long as you didn't try sending an actual update then choosing that option would not have done anything. It just tells the recovery to "listen" for ADB to send a file over USB. If you don't send anything, then that can't cause any issues.
