I've noticed this on my phone as well.

I was having bad battery drain after upgrading to kitkat. I factory reset my phone a couple nights ago and battery seems to be the same or even better now than before the update.

I also have a white G2 and am currently downloading the update with the verizon software.

This might be a silly question, but I couldn't find an answer and it is bothering me: I just received my g2 and am very happy thus far except for one little thing. When placing a call, the phone makes some default sound as the call begins (~ 3 short notes). Is it possible to disable this...

I don't have any suggestions, but I've had significantly more battery drain since I downloaded ingress. Even when I've turned GPS and the game off.

I just got the update after trying the "trick" about 10 times. Whether or not it is coincidence, it matters not because I'm a happy camper now!

For the past couple of weeks, my tablet has decided to never go to sleep. If the screen is off, it will still be awake. Kills my battery life. No matter if I manually disable wifi or anything like that, it will not sleep. Even tried factory resetting it to no avail(and didn't re-install...

I got my phone back in December and the mic has cut a total of 2 times. Other than that, the phone part of my nexus has been just fine.
