This is not the feature I was describing. I know I can already use Dex with the note 8 and no dock.

I was not aware this already existed. Is there an example of this anyone can send me. At the unpacked event, it appeared to be a brand new feature that was with the Note 9 only for now.

Just to be clear... The feature I'm describing is using the desktop mode on a monitor while using the connected phone at the same time in "phone mode".

That form factor would starve for battery space unless it was pretty thick.

The s pen helps with all kinds of precion work on my phone. The built in gallery app has an image editor that I use the s pen in all the time.

I find it incredibly helpful when selecting text for a copy and past. My finger just can't get between the text with the precision of the s pen.

Anyone know if the note 8 will get the new dex feature of using the phone separately from the desktop screen while using a usb c to HDMI cord? Please don't turn this into an argument of the usefulness of Dex.

There just isn't enough on the N9 to justify upgrade. I've had the N8 for 10 months now. It still runs as well as the day I received it. Fast, great battery life and not glitchy at all. I still run nougat because I didn't see enough to want to upgrade to Oreo because of the risk of potential...

Hey guys, I haven't had time to read through the forums. I am still on nougat on my N8 and held it off due to some people saying they had battery issues after the update. I am on Verizon and was wondering how everything is going since this update has been out for a bit. Thanks.

Just washed my akg headphones that came with my note 8 by accident. I don't think these are worth paying $100 for a replacement pair. Anyone know a good set and where to buy? I still need a pair that has microphone, volume rocker, etc. Basically the same functionality. Thanks.
