Hi I'm able to reboot into recovery and reboot from there but with the same result - the update is not applied. Trying to install it still results in the same, stuck at "Rebooting now" with no actual reboot

Device is stock, not rooted. Getting the update originally was not the problem, it downloaded it but will not reboot the phone to install it

Just updated from 4.4 -> 6.0.1 via a chain of OTA updates. Everything seems to have gone ok, except I now have the Jan 2016 security update downloaded but whenever I click Restart & Installl I get the 10..9.. countdown, then "Rebooting Now" and exactly nothing else happens. If I switch off/on...

Took most of sunday morning, but got there in the end!

Have a stock N5 on EE (UK) that's 2 years old and running 4.4.4. About a year or so ago I got OTA notification of a 5.0 and 5.0.1 update but passed on both due to concerns over battery life. Decided to wait for the 5.1 update but it never came. Nor did any flavour of 6, it's just stuck offering...

Not had a chance to follow this up properly yet but I have seen an improvement after disabling the syncing of email every 15 mins overnight - it does this all day, but I'm wondering if a weak wifi signal at night is causing extra grief...

There's no apps that stands out as a battery hog - Kernel & Android System are by far the bigger users. Overall Wifi used 46% of the last stats, but then that's on all the time. GPS is off and location is on battery saving. NFC is off, BT is off..

Cheers - I ended up uninstalling & reinstalling LF - the options for AquaMail came back again but the notification LED still wasn't working. After much fiddling around I left it and lo! This morning it's working again. All very strange... but sorted for now.

I've been using Aquamail for a couple of months on my N5 and I thought I had it hooked up to lightflow for LED notifications, but I just realised I'm not getting notifications any more.. Opening up the Lightflow notifications panel I no longer have an entry for Aquamail. I'm sure there used to...

Is there any way to set a global response for this stupid dialog that comes up every time you select High Accuracy or Battery Saving location mode? It's a very misleading dialog anyway - the text says it is asking for your consent to "collect" location data which to me implies "store forever...

I'm just plugging in the USB lead and sticking that into the PC - Now you mention it, it does come up as "connected as a media device" but I get no option for MTP or PTP - it just pops up an Explorer window that I can browse around and drag files to... sporadically...

Mine arrived a couple of days after ordering despite an offputting "will be dispatched by xxx" where xxx was about a week away. Appeared to come from somewhere in London not Ireland according to the Parcel Farce tracking. My only complaint was it was terribly packed - in a box 4x the size...
