GREAT NEWS!!!!! I double checked Moto's update website and it's TRUE!! They don't say when, but just knowing we're in line for the upgrade is a major PLUS! I love this phone! It's absolutely amazing in quality and performance. KitKat will make it "brand new!"

If anyone learns of an AFT update, please post that information. Meanwhile, here we are with (as mentioned above) very expensive devices that cannot transfer any files to a Mac. Insane.

Also, check your settings and make sure the default image size is at 8 megapixels. The phone comes with only 6 megapixels as the default because that's what works best for uploading to Facebook, Twitter, etc. There's a vast difference in quality between 6 and 8. If that doesn't fix it well...

I don't think there's a way to have separate email icons unless one of your accounts is Gmail. Then you could have the gmail widget and the email widget (icons) on the screen. The Gmail would go directly to that account. The other you'd have to do the double screen access.

I've tried at least 6 different apps to turn on the screen without using the power button, even paid apps. NONE of them work with my DRMH to wake them up - not shaking, proximity sensor or tapping. Some WILL turn off the screen, but not one would turn it on. :-\

Try the app Camera FV5 if you are serious about photography with the DRMH. You'll still have to use the native camera app for vids, but FV5 is excellent quality (good in low light, but not perfect) and has many manual settings including stability control and independent focus and exposure settings.

One thing that's very important to do before you install a 3rd party launcher... You must take all the icons off the native home screen (pull them upward and delete) so there are NO icons on the native home screen AND dock. THEN install your launcher and the first time you use it, check the...

Try using alcohol on a Q-tip (not drippy wet, though) and clean the metal contact point on the headphones jack. Many times, your fingers and other things cover the jack with skin oils and debris. The alcohol/Q-tip cleaning will fix bad contact points in almost every situation.

To find widgets - press and hold a blank area on one of the screens and a list will appear that says "Add to Home Sceen." One of the listings is "Widgets." Scroll through those and activate the ones you want to have available. You'll find Circles there. BTW, Circles doesn't work with 3rd party...
