    Japanese language SMS support

    I was wondering if anyone knew if Sprint has any plans to support Japanese language texts on their network? I guess something like they don't support the utf-16 character encoding for SMS, or something like that. thanks in advance

    Thanks...after further research it seems that Sprint doesn't support utf-16 character encoding (at least two years ago, it didn't). Not sure if thats changed or not though...

    Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows a way for the Evo to receive texts in Japanese? I have a few Japanese friends in the US and while I can send them texts in Japanese, (they're on Verizon and AT&T), when they send me texts all I get is gibberish.... Thanks in advance
