Your phone should be able to do that without using any apps. From mine you go to settings/do not disturb/and select an amount of time. You can also set up rules to turn off sounds from say, 8am-5pm School Day or Work Day, for example.

I have to say, I tried Moon+Reader in the past and really liked it a lot too. So good choice! I never noticed the page counter there when I was comparing different features with FBReader. I'll have to look at DictBox. That sounds familiar...but I will go look at it again. Sounds interesting.

FB Reader like you, plus Livio dictionary. I use both online app and offline dict. Livio was recommended long ago by someone in FBReader forums. I don't think it's as well known but I love it the most. It has found a lot of definitions of old words in Irish, Scottish and English for me...

I think I loaded Slidelock on my husband's old phone. Somehow the phone lost its capability to lock. So that app secured his phone. I'm not sure how it is at displaying notifications nicely but you can check it out.

I use Tasks: Astrid To Do List Clone. I also have and like Sol Calendar, which has a to-do widget. Both sync with Google so I can use whichever widget goes with my theme.

I have also looked into this. My sister and I use Hangouts exclusively for chat. She has no phone but a PC. She likes to work from her browser. I can send+receive messages on phone+pc. It works great for us to communicate instantly. However since Google is taking away the chat part this month...
