Unknown lock screen added

A lock screen has started appearing on my phone. It is bright green. Has 3 stats at the top named CPU, Battery and Storage. It then contains an ad which has been Wish the last few times

I have added a screenshot of it, the ad didn't show up that time but it is usually in the empty space at the bottom

There are reports of different apps pushing ads on the lock screen. Es File Explorer, Peel Smart Remote, Battery/RAM boosters, cleaner apps ...

My phone started doing this today too (11/07/17). I have a Samsung S7. I've attached a photo. Its really annoying because you have to swipe it right then unlock your phone. And you can't see notifications or anything.

Exactly the same happened to me (S6 Edge)

I believe these are caused by Peel. Look in Settings, Apps for anything from Peel and delete it. Then reboot.

I don't have Peel on my phone as it's an S7 and it doesn't have an IR thingy (hence wouldn't work, hence why it's not preinstalled). So it can't be that...

It can tricky finding out which app is pushing those ads. We have already mentioned some of the usual suspects, but there are many more. Any new free game or Photo editor?

You could try this. Restart your phone and if you get the same screen again go to settings - memory and see if there's any unusual app on that list.

One way you could find it is go to the app store and look through your installed apps.

I've looked through everything and there's nothing I can see that's out of order. Its still doing it at the moment

I also have the same problem, extra lock screen, then a full page ad that I have to X out of, then my lock screen. I disabled my Peel Remote, but it still continues.

Check which app has lockscreen related permissions. That will tell you which app is responsible for this.
