Sounds kind of like the issue I was having with my tablet. Check THIS thread out for some helpful suggestions that might fix your battery issue. Tell me how it goes.

This worked for me! I fully charged my tablet and turned it off overnight. I turned it back on and the battery was at 100%. Now it doesn't die at 48% anymore. Thanks!

I am having battery problems with my Nexus 7. One day while I was using it it just died all of a sudden. The battery wasn't even low, it was at 48%. I thought it might have been a bug or something so I plugged in the charger and waited for a while. The screen just flickers and nothing happens...

Whenever I have my brightness low and I am on a white page the screen starts to flicker. It is not too major but after a while it gets annoying. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a way to fix it with have to change the brightness?
