I use my Nexus 7 mainly as an eReader using the Kindle app, and I find I get very good battery life. Since I've had the device (for about seven months), on occassion I would go to turn the device on, and the battery would be completely dead. This was unexepcted, since normally the Nexus 7 drains very little of the battery while it is sleeping.
This past week, three days in a row, the Nexus has been completely dead when I've gone to turn it on. To make matters worse, its been difficult to turn it back on once it has drained - when I plug it in, I get the battery icon, however, sometimes it take some fiddling to get the device to boot. Once the device is charged, it performs flawlessly, and the battery life seems solid - but when I go to use the device in the morning, their is a good chance it will be dead.
Very little running in the background - a live wallpaper and a weather widget. I'm contemplating a hard reset, but I'm reluctant to do so because I would lose all my stored books and videos. Anyone else having this problem?
