Just a follow up on this thread -- Had a repairman open up my s6 and try a new battery. Didn't solve my issue so it seems to be a hardware/board failure. Guess I'm outta luck. Anyway, been rockin my clunky s3 in the meantime, but ordered a near-mint s7 off ebay for $239. Thanks all.

Yeah I was leery, but was coming off of an S3 that was on it's last leg. Thanks for the advice. I'll see what the repair shop estimator says.

I wanted to follow back up after roughly 15 days after the original cache clearing. Since I did that I have not experienced the weird 'quick draw' from 100% down to roughly 50% immediately after unplugging it from the charger. So it appears to be corrected for the time being. Thanks for the...

Just thought I would upload this picture for reference of today. It illustrates the orig posting pretty well. You can see at the beginning it jumps down from 100 to 47 roughly. IN the middle there is where I rebooted and cleared the cache. Did a couple short charges since, nothing as steep...

Completed. I suppose the true test is after a charging. FYI, battery came back at 15% (maybe 5-7% lower than before cache clear).
