I think it's just the way the OS (Android) handles memory. The OS pre-allocates memory (probably 60-70% of total RAM) for use and never frees the memory fully. The OS will keep cycling from this pool (gives it to apps when they need it and puts it back once the apps are done). This gives the OS...
Re: Is Moto G 2013 getting Android 5.0/L ?
I did not play much with it. In general the Moto G seemed the same as Kitkat as far as response goes, I didn't notice any huge lags. But then again I am used to Android L in my N4.
It does takes a bit to boot up the first time after the OTA is...
I read about the wifi issue with Lollipop somewhere.
The solution was to 'forget' the network and then connect to it again. Have you tried this already ?
Try disabling the 'Adaptive brightness' (Settings->display), maybe something is blocking the sensor.
You also can try setting the 'When device is locked' option in Settings->Sound & Notifications to 'Show all'.
There is now a new feature in Android Lollipop called Interruptions (Settings->Sound...
If you use the Google Now Launcher (Settings->Home) in the Nexus 4, you will see the same background as N5.
You might have to install the Google Now Launcher in N4.
I was rooted and unlocked, but was on the Stock Android 4.4.2.
After I updated, I lost the root access, its not a big deal for me.
I am sure the Nexus toolkit will be updated soon to be able to root 4.4.3.
In Youtube App there is a setting to enable HD while on the Mobile network. Tick the checkbox in "Three dots->Settings->General->High quality on mobile".
Also when the video is playing, clicking on the 'Three dots' and it lets you select HD.
Have you tried the Battery Guru: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xiam.snapdragon.app
It limits the Apps from auto sync etc. for the most part based on your preferences. It goes in learning mode for a couple of days.
I would also try disabling the auto sync in Google Currents...
Have you tried setting the 'Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep' to 'Always' ? This can be found in Settings->WiFi->Advanced (three dots->Advanced).
I am not sure if this will fix the issue, but is worth a try. Sometimes in hardware, Bluetooth and WiFi are inter-dependency for power.
Look for directions in the Box (flap).
To setup, in the chrome browser type:
google.com/chromecast/setup
Run through the setup, I think you have options to configure WiFi etc.
During the setup the laptop connects directly to the Chromecast. Then it connects to the configured WiFi.
The...
I was looking for a screen protector for the Nexus 4, when I came across the Skinomi screen protector. Right next to the Nexus 4 was a tab which said Nexus 5. I had to click that one :D
It looks more like the Galaxy Nexus, but from one of the pics of the screen protector it looks like it has a...
