No they don't, you're forced to fall back to an older phone you own or wait without a phone. LG didn't manage to repair the issue when I sent it in so just make sure voice roaming is enabled and it will fix the problem. The phone will give you a false indicator showing that you're roaming, but...

I just finished the update and my bsr is still at 1 where my previous ##scrtn# reset set it. Everything in the LTE settings looks exactly the same. So I'm also curious as to what was changed. EDIT: I even updated the profile after the update and it doesn't show any changes.

What carrier are you on? I think I recall sprint trying to install an app like that with sprint installer or some 💩. See if you can locate the app and uninstall it completely. If it's what I think it is, it's garbage anyway.
