Thank you! I found Automatic date & time, which was unchecked, under Date & time settings. It immediately reset the clock to the correct time. Thanks again! This is my first smarter than me phone, obviously.

I just noticed my 8's phone app reports the time two or three minutes too fast. All the time. Is there any way to keep it in sync better? Thanks!!!

Well, the city I had entered for local time (my home city) has disappeared from the list of available cities. I had to delete it, and chose the state capital, which apparently still exists. That got the widget to tell the correct time.
