This phone is operating on the Verizon network.
Yesterday, I received the update notice about the new power-saving rollout while away from my charger and chose to defer to a later time, which I assumed was later that night. For all I know, I scheduled it for a month from now—the interface is often the user's worst enemy.
I finally had a chance to connect the charger this morning. At the Settings ► Software update menu, I found the option to install the deferred update, "Install deferred SW," but choosing it did nothing.
Restarting the phone seems to have kicked off the update.
Is this the normal behavior for deferred updates (they only install after a restart) or is this behavior specific to this particular update?
