    FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)

Of course, otherwise I wouldn't get that type of error message.

    FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)

What do you mean? USB debugging is on.

    FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)

It happens when I try to transfer the recovery installation file to the phone on fastboot using adb.

    FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)

The option OEM unlocking is grayed out (I can't change), probably because bootloader is already unlocked.

    FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)

    It's a Huawei P9 Lite.

    FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)

My phone is not rooted, but the bootloader is UNLOCKED (for sure!). I'm trying to install a custom recovery, but am getting this message: FAILED (remote: Command not allowed) Why? Do I really need to root my phone in order to install a custom recovery? Or how else could I solve this problem?

Upgrade to Nougat - Second file

I can't check for updates, since I don't have this option. That's why my question, if it is still possible to install the second file now that I'm already using the phone? Or do I have to start all over, i.e., from the beginning: install the big file again (and then the small file)?

Upgrade to Nougat - Second file

I manually updated my Huawei P9 Lite to Nougat. There were to files to download and install: a big one (1,2 GB) and a small one (388 MB). I got confused and installed only the big file. It worked. Now, I understand that the second file is an update to the first file, but I already started to use...

EMUI 5.0 - Nougat - How to check for updates?

I manually upgraded my P9 Lite to EMUI 5.0 - Nougat, but unlike the previous version when I go to Settings I don't see any option to check for updates (which used to be at the bottom of the screen). Is this normal?

    Huawei P9 - Can't add Google account - Can't open Play Store

When I do what you said, the Google app opens, but quits immediately. I can't add any account, since it quits. Then I see again the white Settings page "Add Account", which was behind.

    Huawei P9 - Can't add Google account - Can't open Play Store

No. The thing is, this device knows nothing about my Google account, since I couldn't register any, then the Google apps quit before I can setup my account. Therefore, I can't even add an Google account to this phone.

    Huawei P9 - Can't add Google account - Can't open Play Store

I have read about this problem. Many people have/had it. All Google apps on my P9 quit, so I can't login to Google. I can login to Gmail in Chrome though, but this doesn't solve the problem with the Google apps.

    Huawei P9 - Can't add Google account - Can't open Play Store

I didn't buy my device from Play Store, so when I go to the page you sent me, in Chrome, logged in with my Google account, no device is listed and there is no option to add my device. When I search for an app, like Skype, and want to download it, the page tries to open the Play Store app, which...

    Huawei P9 - Can't add Google account - Can't open Play Store

All Google apps, like Google Play, came preinstalled, I didn't have to install them.

    Huawei P9 - Can't add Google account - Can't open Play Store

I live in Europe and have a new Huawei P9. I can't add a Google account and sign in to it. All Google apps, like Drive and Play Store, flash and quit or stay open but don't let me add an account and sign in. Gmail, Youtube, etc., I can't sign in. So, I can't install new apps, because I can't use...
