Is owning a Nexus 6 in 2016 worth sticking with?

I would hold onto it. Works fine, not really missing anything. N beta seemed to run fine enough. I'm gonna wait till next year personally...

    The hell is this OTA?

Yes yes yes... The most recent devices get it first, then the older still-supported ones. Think of the 5X and 6P users as our beta testers. Same thing happened with the 6.0 release. Nexus 5 users waited a bit. Nexus 6 users got it almost immediately. Not a huge deal. If it really is a big...

    The hell is this OTA?

Read the last little sentence. Patience. We aren't running Samsung devices. We should get it soon enough. You think this is bad? Try having a Galaxy Nexus on sprint.....

    The hell is this OTA?

Pretty sure this is wrong. Google is always slower getting the updates out for the earlier generations. Only Nexus devices that were confirmed to not get N was the OG Nexus 5 as it doesn't support Vulcan. Give it time...

Android 7.0 Nougat available today for Nexus devices - UPDATED

Re: Android 7.0 Nougat available today for Nexus devices. I was having a bug with keeping connections on cell towers (sometimes it would die and never come back). Did they patch that?

    Nexus 5 keeps shutting off

My reboot issue is from my power button. Suggestions that have worked for others: Try using a normal USB cable and plugging the phone into a computer and powering it up. Or the more dangerous way: precise percussional adjustment (a decent but gentle whack) located near the power button. This...

have Sprint nexus 6 going to England asked it to be unlocked and they said it cant be?

Just tell them you want it unlocked. The carrier people don't know what they are talking about 95% of the time. Look up the freq bands the N6 1103 supports and look up the freq bands in UK providers. It will work on 3g, the only question is if lte will work. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

2015 Nexus: LG Nexus 5 or Huawei Nexus 6? Which will you buy?

I actually bounce back and forth between my N6 and N5. Sometimes it feels really nice to hold an N5 and not feel like there is something so massive in my hands. But the N6 supports band 12(I think it is band 12, whatever the lower freq T-Mobile band is...) Has a better camera, and battery, and...

What will I be missing if I buy a N6 Verizon model?

I'm sorry, but T-Mobile might have coverage issues here and there, but they had 0 issues when I brought my play-store N5 to them. If Verizon told me what they told you, I'd have some choice words for the rep, then find a new provider... Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

What will I be missing if I buy a N6 Verizon model?

Verizon are just a bunch of DBs. You could always ditch them when you get the phone you want :) Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

Upgrading to Nexus 6 will my old sim card work?

It should be unlocked. I think all the carrier versions of the Nexus are unlocked, but you could always call 611 from your T-Mobile line and ask them if it is. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

    Is your Nexus 6 rooted?

Why do you have to be rooted on a Nexus device? To be quite honest, I only ever root for 2 reasons: 1. To boost performance. This isn't needed on the N6 TBH. 2. To load roms for current versions of Android, or to get rid of skins and bloatware. These, again don't apply to Nexus devices...

Upgrading to Nexus 6 will my old sim card work?

The Nexus 5 uses a micro sim, and the Nexus 6 uses a nano sim. You can get an adapter to take a nano sim to micro, and also get your micro sim cut down to a nano. So yes, but it is easier to just get a new sim. If you are getting the Nexus 6 at T-Mobile, it comes with a nano sim already...

Today I broke my Nexus, and I need help.

So if you have adb enabled already, you could reboot to bootloader, load a custom recovery that supports adb over recovery, then boot into recovery and get your pics from adb command line transfers. Alternatively, if you did not have adb enabled already, you can force reboot the phone and...

2015 Nexus: LG Nexus 5 or Huawei Nexus 6? Which will you buy?

If both my backup (old Nexus 5 32gb) and my Nexus 6 died, I would have a hard time choosing. I love both phone, for different reasons. It would come down to battery life ultimately for me, and if new N5 has better battery life compared to the old N5, it would be really close. I don't need...
