Why do you have to be rooted on a Nexus device? To be quite honest, I only ever root for 2 reasons:

1. To boost performance. This isn't needed on the N6 TBH.
2. To load roms for current versions of Android, or to get rid of skins and bloatware. These, again don't apply to Nexus devices.

Therefore, I honestly have no need to root. Or unlock my bootloader. Or disable encryption. I have my old Nexus 5 for playing around while my N6 remains 100% stock, and 100% reliable. BTW my N5 is running M.2 :)

Unlocked bootloader and rooted the night I bought it :)

Didn't even swap SIM cards before rooting....haha

No I don't have rooted and I'm not interested to root it.

My device is rooted. I like being able to have the extra features and being able to fully customize my device. I also unlocked my bootloader, installed TWRP for my recovery, and I have the latest version of Dirty Unicorns for my ROM. I didn't bother flashing a custom Kernel as I really like the stock kernel DU runs. But that's what I did to my device.

Unlocked and rooted with Wugfresh NRT just like the N4 and N5 - smooth as buttah!!

Running Titanium Backup routinely and Powergrasp when needed but honestly I did it because I just hate the idea of spending $$ on a device and having what I can and can't do dictated by somebody else.
