Wow...i feel like such a newb...on my Inc. i would use the power button to select options in clockworkmod, i just discovered that on the Droid2G, it's the camera button...haha.

New problem, everytime i go in to clockworkmod recovery and go to "backup and restore" the screen just goes blank.

Probably not the best technique...but did a battery pull...back to my phone. I'll try one more time.

Question about what the screen looks like when backing up So, i followed the steps and went the route of backing up using Rom Manager, because that's how I used to do it as well on my Inc. The phone rebooted, and now displays the green android dude underneath a triangle with a yellow...

Now that you mention it...I previously had an HTC Incredible...I ran into a similar issue, which was that some Apps caused problems like this. If i knew which app it was, I could unistall it and it would get rid of the problem, then all other apps would be able to update. Yes - I have tried...

There are certain apps on my phone that will not update, while other apps do. I get the message: "Installation error: Couldn't install on USB storage or SD Card" I have plenty of memory, over 1.4gb of storeage on my SD card, and over 6gb on my phone storage.

Bummer...sounds like it may not be worth it then. Yes, I have rooted the phone so I can use SETcpu to control speed for battery efficiency.

Is there a way to change the status bar where the battery is without loading a custom rom?

Thanks for the info. It's too bad though, because CyanogenMod is such a slick rom. What Rom do you recommend?

Hi folks...anyone try loading Cyanogen Mod on a D2G yet? I had an incredible and had it loaded on that and kind of liked it. Let me know...feedback is much appreciated.
