I've been using Apex since forever. So when they recently "improved" it, I was irritated that many functions were either altered or screwed up. However, I've been using scrolling wallpaper with apex and now I can't get it to work. Anyone have a suggestion or two?

Makes complete sense. Take something simple like providing a dialer with basic speed dial functionality and reinvent the wheel. Not that much to ask for -- speed dial...but good thing they provided picture dialing in its place. Brilliant.

I'd return it ASAFP. And let the seller know it seems like there's a problem. And maybe contact AT&T once you've received a refund and let them know what happened. The seller might be legit and he might not, but it sounds like something is off.

Loathe the stock app - the photo contacts are a pain and force me to conform to how it's set up as opposed to allowing me to configure it how I want it. No speed dials in 2017? Seriously?

I went through two Note 7's and a 7 Edge (VZW) before moving to the Pixel XL 128GB. I would and will buy another Samsung phone if they come out with another large-format (eg Note-size) phone, which I expect they will. I think the Edge is a nice looking phone but it just didn't blow my skirt...

Understood, but in the ten plus years I've been using Android handsets/tabs, there's always a relatively easy fix of being able to dump notifications that are not welcome or excessive.

That's the key -- there's no right or wrong, it's the fact that there are so many different ways to get to where each of us wants/needs to go. That's why them dumping speed-dials made no sense to me. On second thought, it is wrong. They totally screwed up ;-)

This might very well be standard practice for ExDialer, although this is kind of a crappy way to say "Hey we're good guys our app is user-friendly and non-invasive" -- but it's very possible. I think I'm going to contact the dev to see if this is something they can clarify. I don't mind the...

I haven't, only because if I turn off notifications in the phone's settings I have a feeling I won't see/hear/feel the phone ring.

I may set this up for my girlfriend -- she doesn't do speed dials but if she has tiles in a folder on her TouchWiz (on her 7Edge) she may start using speeddials. Then again, Samsung didn't **** the bed with their dialer so maybe she won't LOL

I didn't bother trying to fix it -- it's too broken. Went with ExDialer. Not sure if I'll keep it but for $3 it's a lot easier and it works how I want it to, not the other way around. What a joke.
