The drop down menu has albums, events, locations and friends. Facebook only shows up under albums and friends. It has facebook as a separate album, as well as dropbox, flickr, and picasa. You can shut on/off gallery albums.
I'm in the same boat as you being an iphone convert. I got my ATT one unlocked, rooted and flashed by just sticking to this guide.

Does anyone know if this ROM has the supposed "New Support for group messaging via MMS" that android was talking about. Supposed to function more like imessage and less like crap. :D

This x1000. iPhone user for 7 years here, the One is my first android phone. Took a bit of getting used to, but i read alot, learned the inns and outs, and i'm not looking back.
The only super battery drain i've experienced so far is when my exchange server email account got locked into a continuous update mode that i didn't notice until i wasn't on wifi. But the battery usage clearly showed my mail app was sucking it all up.
Or just do what i did and give it up till the phones get updated. I made my inner circle of friends with iphones get google hangouts. Functions so much better than any mms settings of any app.
