I don't know why this didn't occur to me earlier, but I decided to call my phone using the hotspot. Long story short, I don't see any issues with the hotspot while the phone is making a call. Bleh, sorry.

Has anyone had the misfortune of having a stuck sim card tray? I can't get the tray to pop out. Any ideas? *** Edit *** I was able to get the tray out. Phew! I used a plastic removal tool that you often see people use in phone repair videos.
