Not sure if this would be feasible, but have you tired backing up the data on your SD card, and reformatting it? That might help.

Re: The times they are a changin I haven't bought the G4 yet but have been reading all the positive threads on it - really tempted. For me big things are the amazing camera and the leather casing. The ability to have a microSD card of 2TB is just insanely cool. Not sure how I could use all...
