Is Moto X 2014 battery life that bad? And it's still worth it in 2014?

I've also had the phone since Nov '14 and have got the most part loved it (also is my first smartphone). Battery has never been an issue. Usually unplug around 6a and plug in around 10p. I use a very dark home screen background, only use Bluetooth and location services when needed. Moderate...

    Just ordered a Moto X 2014

Battery life can be an issue if you're a major user. Of course you can mitigate the effects by using a dark background on your home screen and turning off any vibrating notifications unless you really need them. Also, turn off your Bluetooth, and location, when not in use. I'm a moderate user...

    which apps can I delete?

Thanks Javier, I figured as much but just wanted to check. Would be great to have fewer of those built-ins that are not required by the OS. Much of what I use day to day is stock, but would like to remove the rest. Hey what's the big deal Big G? we're all on the same cloud here;)!

    which apps can I delete?

Are there any stock apps/bloat ware that I can delete from the phone? Carrier apps I don't use, other Google apps too. Even the office type Google products seem hardwired in. Thanks Posted via the Android Central App

Out of the box, how much usable memory is available on the Nexus 6p?

Re: Out of the box, how much usable memory is available on the Nexus 6p This was a real learning experience for me, just getting my first smartphone last year. On my 16Gb there was only 10Gb of usable memory. Anyone know of a thread here that can tell me which built in apps I can erase...

great features that have degenerated with updates

If anyone has answers to these, great, love to hear them. Really more of a rant here though. Bought this phone Nov '14. Last days of KitKat. Loved it, it was a super phone! A couple of standout features that I now find are missing, small but important. Previously screen cast/screen mirroring...

Post pictures taken with your second generation Moto X here

I do like how putting the focus point at different spots can change the exposure. I've been pleased with it, but some of the comparison reviews were a bit nitpicky. Everyone's a Kubrick. Posted via the Android Central App

Is there a full replacement for the Phone app/interface?

Samsung ya say eh? I've heard of this Sam Sung, nice feller, Chinaman I think. I'm probably 1.5 yrs from my next phone, so I'll have to give those a look then, an eternity in tech years. By then I'll know more what to look for, I'm still <1yr with a smartphone:p. May never get around to...

Is there a full replacement for the Phone app/interface?

It seems that dialer/phone/contact apps just replace the organizing and peripheral interface of the actual phone. The stock phone is pretty but the layout seems inefficient. I've tried one of the better dialer apps (truedialer or dialer+, etc) which was great for customizing the look of contacts...

How can I stop apps from occupying the memory in a non-rooted phone?

I was wondering about this also for a while. My performance isn't lagging but I'm not a real power user either. Many folks say it's just supposed to run like that, maintains performance due to info being queued up, etc. Which may be true. But a "cache out" feature might improve performance...

    Not Auto-connecting to WiFi

I've had the same issue (moto x2). When I swipe down to access control menu it will activate but won't auto switch before that, much of the time.
