I can't honestly answer your question but I can provide a resource that you may want to utilize. If your TV shows are in the Google Play Store you can download episodes or series and then watch them on your tablet and TV with an HDMI cable connected to your tablet.

My biggest complaint so far is the constant crashing of Google Chrome. It baffles me that their own browser works about 75% of the time on their own tablet. I know there will be bugs and glitches in software and hardware, but it is very discouraging to see that this issue has not been addressed...
