I have fairly solid 4G, but there are times traveling between cities that it drops to 3G....I think HTC is withholding the fact that it's not going to work for all Verizon areas..when they say it works with Verizon that's only partially true

Maybe someone else can give it a go (calling HTC).. Might get someone more knowledgeable or a different answer..

Called HTC...even though the guy seemed to have no ides which version (that's a good question, he said) he came back with purchase the Verizon version...the unlocked version will only work on LTE...

Over on xda , they are talking as if the unlocked and Verizon version are one in the same...so I'm confused at what to order..also wondering if I should wait until the phone gets in hand of someone using a Verizon sim..

So, they list a Verizon variation on HTCs site and also the unlocked version, which also says it is Verizon compatible.. Is it one in the same? Anyone on here planning on using this on Verizon?

I have had big phones in the past...galaxy s6 edge+ (which was my favorite), note 7, moto z,....and idk the s8+ is top heavy or something...It's just uncomfortable at times..idk if combination of weight balance, reaching for top of screen or thickness...I may have to buy the regular s8

Yes..that's what I was wondering...how do you fix the red borders without adjusting the entire screen...I would like to know what is exactly causing it to have a red border ..

Honestly,the new one has the red borders...you can really see this when you sit outside and on a white background ..I don't know what to think..is this hardware issue or software adjustment?

Sorry, I didn't see post until now...it was Verizon that overnighted it

So, I had the issue with my Verizon 8+ ..I posted earlier. They overnighted a replacement...the new phone still has some red on the edges , but definitely not as bad. I also didn't realize how " pink " my entire display was ( in the first device). I'm not 100% satisfied,but the replacement is...

Wow, well I feel better that I'm not the only one....the question is....is it a defect? And will a replacement be better?

I agree when you look at an angle the tint will mostly disappear, but I don't think I should have told hold it exactly so I don't have a border around my white screen
