Question Phone lost connection to home wifi, complains of password

Does your wifi router happen to use WPA3 for security? Are all three bands, 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz and 6Ghz all use the same security setting? My Android phone drops the connection if the security settings don't match on all bands.

Question Phone won't use WPA2 connection once it has seen a WPA3 connection

I'm using a Pixel 7 phone with Android 15, build BP1A.250405.007.B1. My wife uses the same phone and is seeing the same issue... Our internet is provided through an XB8 cable modem. This modem supports 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz and 6Ghz. Usually our phones are connected using 6Ghz, but if we stray too far...

Solved: Location of photo storage has changed?

Yes I have. I agree with you about it being an issue on Microsofts side. I just discovered that if I modify an existing photo (delete, rename, etc.) that the missing photos will appear. So it's just a caching issue on Windows side.

Solved: Location of photo storage has changed?

    Just the backup function.

Solved: Location of photo storage has changed?

I don't want my photos to sync with Google. Having them on my phone only is fine.

Solved: Location of photo storage has changed?

I have a Google Pixel 7 phone that recently updated to Android 15. Windows 11 usually shows my phone in the sidebar of Windows Explorer. That is where I go to download photos from my phone, etc. Normally, the camera would show photos at "C:\Users\me\CrossDevice\Pixel 7\storage\DCIM\Camera"...

Question Cancelled Google Workspace account. What should I do on my Android phone?

We have had a Google Workspace account with a custom domain for a fairly long time. Over that time we've installed many apps from the Play store. If it matters, I currently have a Pixel 7 phone with Android 14 installed. We recently cancelled the Google Workspace account and moved our email...

New Pixel 7 rants and questions

I'm liking it. I'm using the Nova 8.0.8 beta and the PlayStore Nova Prime. Getting the notification badges to work was a bit of trouble, but once I found the setting I needed it works fine.

Nova Launcher 8.0.8 beta + Prime features?

Found the issue... When you enable the notification badges in Nova Launcher you will most likely get to a page where notification access is disabled. You won't be able to enable it. You need to go into your phone settings to Apps > Finding the app > clicking the top three dots for the menu and...

Nova Launcher 8.0.8 beta + Prime features?

I spoke too soon. The notification badges option is there for me, but I don't get any badges. :( On this screen shot, there should be notification badges on the Gmail icon and the Nova Settings icon. I verified that the settings are enabled, and that the apps have permission to send notifications.

Nova Launcher 8.0.8 beta + Prime features?

I installed the Prime again. It still said that gestures were a Prime feature. I restarted my phone and all is well. I should have thought of that in the first place.

New Pixel 7 rants and questions

Yup... got it working. I ended up installing Nova Launcher anyhow. I didn't like the wasted real estate on the top and bottom of the screen that the Pixel launcher had.

Nova Launcher 8.0.8 beta + Prime features?

That's what I thought, but the settings for the prime features were still disabled. Does the order that you install them make a difference? Do you have to install Prime, then the beta?

Nova Launcher 8.0.8 beta + Prime features?

I have a new Pixel 7 phone with Android 14. With the help of some good folks here, and the Nova Launcher app, I was able to set it up how I like it. When using the beta, how do you enable the Prime features? I did purchase Prime from the app store but it didn't change anything. I'd really like...

New Pixel 7 rants and questions

Thanks! Installed and it's working well! Now I just need to find a decent parallax home screen background and I'm good. Thanks again!
