These forums are in no way representative of the public at large. By the fact that we are here, we are technology enthusiasts. Your average consumer gets a phone on subsidy on a 2 year plan and upgrades when the plan is up. Usually means they upgrade every second version.

My son just took the factory one from his Nexus 4 last week. Lasted hime over a year. Sitting on the train the other day, I noticed the woman next to me still had the factory one of her Galaxy S5, with Galaxy S5 printed right in the middle of the screen.

Because the releases are in alphabetical order. The current one is K (KitKat)
