Might be a dumb question (i googled a bit but found nothing):

Why "L" ? What does it mean? Is ist because it's 5.0 ... and the Latin letter for 50 is "L" ??

Because the releases are in alphabetical order. The current one is K (KitKat)

I flashed the android L (LPV81C) 1 week ago. Though there is a bit laggy when scroll the wifi networks list, it works perfectly for me.

I have found battery life to be slightly better than previously with the new adaptive brightness, and battery saving mode.

We don't know for sure, but probably late October/ early November.

MMS problem verified with AT&T.

Device: Nexus 5
Carrier: AT&T
Version: Android L
Build # : LPV79

APN Settings
....have been verified as "TRUE" with AT&T. I have also tried other values without success.
FAILED

APN Protocol
....I have also tried to switch the protocol value from "IPv4" to "IPv4/IPv6"
FAILED

Texting App
.....I have also tried switching between "hangouts", "textra", and "whatsapp". Textra, when I toggle MMS delivery reports on displays the following, "MMS Message not recieved. Please check APN settings.
FAILED

I was getting quite exhausted when nothing seemed to help. :-!
