NO! Never flash with stock recovery, you must have a custom recovery installed, but root isn't required.

You can't make that comparison just by battery size alone. It's a whole different phone with a different processor, RAM, and software.

I don't know how you define "outdated", but the 6p being one of the VERY few devices with up to date software, I'd say it's aging better than the rest.

Any of you all are having issues with 7.1.1, do a FDR. I had battery issue until I wiped, now battery life is better than it ever was.

Yes, all those oem's you mentioned have a much better experience than Samsung IMO.

Try 7.1.1? Go for it, bit make a back up just in case....if you're rooted.

Yep, they're the same charge cycle, I wouldn't even post it otherwise. The 4hrs 26 min is at 25% and I was on LTE and in Walmart with pretty bad signal from 50-25%.

Every phone I've ever had I've used it in light rain and under an umbrella, I've never had a problem.

It's unfortunate that most people that leave the iPhone to try Android go right to Samsung. Then they get a bad experience, and blame Android as a whole. I too tried plenty of "non Nexus" and the experience is never as good. Especially Samsung software, I like how a member above put it, "choppy"...

I did the FDR and started from scratch. Only way to make sure IMO. This is the best SOT I've ever seen.

3hrs 24 min at 50℅ battery. I ain't complaining. I love this build.

My battery life was a good bit worse, and the phone ran warmer than usual.
