Got 7.1, anyone notice any new features?

Yeah, I wouldn't call it outdated. Speed-wise it still rocks and rolls, the camera still takes great pictures, etc.

I mean, if I really wanted to, I could pretty much turn my 6P into a 6Pixel... the only thing I wouldn't have is the faster camera, the slick new EIS.... software-wise I can get Night Mode, the launcher, the FPS gestures, Google Assistant, etc... basically everything that the Pixel has that doesn't require newer hardware.

Looks like you should be able to flash these using the stock Recovery.

Edit: but I didn't read far enough to see if they require root.

Don't believe it needs root, no mention of it.

NO! Never flash with stock recovery, you must have a custom recovery installed, but root isn't required.
